Vision
New Horizon fills a need for presence led bible-based ministry in our region. People are genuinely transformed in our midst. In this current atmosphere of spiritual hunger we are poised to reach and restore more hurting people of Pierce and South King county – but we have no room to hold them. Currently our classrooms are stuffed. We lack adequate classes for age categories as well as room for more people to come. Once we build, we can begin bussing children again.
Timeline
Phase one: This is our current phase with a budget of $1,200,000. In this phase we will finish the 6000sf upstairs. This will include a large fellowship hall, kitchen, classrooms with dividers, offices, storage, bathrooms, and upper lobby. In addition, we will expand the foyer and the back of the building as well. Out back we’ll add a staircase and elevator. This work should be done by September of 2026. Furnishings for this phase could be $50,000 or more. We will also be seeking a new Conditional Use Permit so we can expand our school offerings and add more square feet to our building.
Phase Two: In phase two we will increase the parking capacity by as many as 96 stalls. The Civil engineering for this has already begun. We will be seeking city approval for this phase and then seeking permits. This will include water retention from the parking lot, water dispersal, and paving. We don’t have a budget yet.
Phase Three: In phase three we will build more classrooms, ministry rooms, and extend the stage size on the north side of the current sanctuary. We will also add a balcony (depth to be determined).
