WHAT IS BAPTISM?
Baptism is a burial of the old life and a resurrection to the new life that’s been granted a believer in Jesus Christ.
Baptism is an immersion under water, wherein the water represents the burial in a grave and a death to the old life of sin and condemnation. The coming out of the water is a resurrection of power and life in Christ.
WHO CAN GET BAPTIZED?
At New Horizon it is recommended that any person old enough to understand that they have made a decision to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior is ready to follow Him in baptism. Generally, we suggest that children be at least 10 years old when they are baptized so as to understand and apply their faith, but each decision with a child is best made jointly with their parents.
