Preschool Director

Reports to: Pastoral oversight, Joel Wolfe 

Pay: $23-$30 per hour, depending on education and experience 

Status: Part Time (up to 25 hours per week) 

Description: The Preschool Director shall oversee ad administrate New Horizon Preschool.

Responsibilities: 

• Oversee the fulfillment of our values 
• Oversee the curriculum taught in all classes 
• Oversee the promotion, website, signage and social media 
• Oversee the student records, conferences and end of year evaluations 
• Oversee parent communications 
• Oversee the school calendar, parties, events, field trips and graduation 
• Oversee and manage the purchasing and storage of supplies and curriculum 
• Oversee the expansion and vision of New Horizon Preschool 
• Oversee teachers and classroom activities 
• Hiring and training staff and teachers 
• Organizing professional development activities 
• Coordinate the maintenance and cleaning of the Preschool accordingly 
• Manage all aspects of the Preschool from keeping student-to-teacher ratios appropriate to ensuring the excellence of the curriculum and organizing student enrollment. 
• Address problems, which might involve the budget, concerns from parents, or issues with teachers 
• Responsible for the intake of new and returning students 
• Support lead teacher and assistants where necessary 
• Carry out various administrative tasks, hold weekly meetings, communicate to all church staff members as needed 

Staff Oversight Responsibilities: 

• Oversees, trains and manages all preschool lead teachers, assistants, and substitutes 
• Oversees all classroom activities 
• Weekly meetings 

Certifications and Skills: 

• Professing Christian required 
• Thirty hours completed STARS certification required 
• In-person CPR and First Aid Training required 
• Office 365 Competency required 
• Passion for Early Childhood Education 
• Experience with Preschool-Aged Children 
• Strong Communication Skills 
• Team Collaboration Skills 
• Creative and Flexible
